“The Hippocratic Crush 2” To Be Better Than Its First?

Highly anticipated anniversary series, The Hippocratic Crush 2 <On Call 36小時II>, is airing on November 4. Continuing the storyline of the popular first installment, the sequel features the same main cast with the addition of Lawrence Ng (吳啟華). Viewers’ favorite couple, Kenneth Ma (馬國明) and Tavia Yeung (楊怡), will spark greater romantic chemistry as a married couple. Filmed at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the series will showcase realistic settings with professional medical devices. According to the cast, the sequel consists of more outstanding components than its first installment, hoping to garner high viewership ratings.
Lawrence, who is most memorable for his role as Dr. Paul Ching from the Healing Hands <妙手仁心installments, expressed excitement in portraying a doctor once again. In The Hippocratic Crush 2, he plays pathology specialist Dr. Lok Man Sang. Although Lawrence’s doctor characters seem very similar, they come from completely different backgrounds. Dr. Lok had a tragic life due to the loss of family members, and suffers from autism. Lawrence emphasized he did not allow the characteristics of Dr. Ching to creep into Dr. Lok, and had approached his new role from a whole other perspective.
On the other hand, Fan Tze Yu (Tavia Yeung) and Cheung Yat Kin (Kenneth Ma) share many emotional scenes. Unfortunately, Tze Yu’s intramedullary spinal cord tumor begins to affect her career, making her incapable of performing surgeries on patients. Dr. Lok helps her regain strength and Tze Yu soon learns she can help her patients in other ways. She gives up her position as a cardiothoracic surgeon and switches to the field of pathology. Yat Kin disapproves of this decision and starts a quarrel with Dr. Lok. Tze Yu also becomes pregnant, and the struggle between keeping the baby or not stresses the difference in opinions of the married couple. The pressure Yat Kin faces from all aspects of his life mounts into depression, but Tze Yu consoles him and tries to help him see through.
Although Lawrence and Kenneth resemble rivals onscreen, they are actually very good friends. “Kenneth is very professional. He has his script memorized every time we start filming. I was so happy working with him,” Lawrence expressed. He hopes their different acting styles will make the drama more enjoyable for the audience.
As for the drama’s popular couple, Kenneth commented on his collaboration with Tavia. “She is a very good partner. Every time I work with her, we spark greater chemistry. I feel very comfortable when we film together, and hopefully there are more chances in the future.”

Thoughts about Raymond & Karena

So...
What do you think of them?

I've seen many negative articles on them, or rather on Karena, mostly saying that she got together with Ray cause of his money and so on. And I know, from some posts i've seen, there're quite a number of haters of Karena out there?

Okay, i've got nothing much to elab for the above, so i'm just gonna share my thoughts on how I feel about them.

Firstly, I think Karena is kinda young for Ray.. He is 34, & she is 20... Hmm... Why not choose Linda or Kate? Better choice mahh~ (*^▽^*) Haha!! Okay, back to da topic. xD
Secondly, I think Ray is spending too much money on her... Don't you guys think so? :P And I think how he actually can't concentrate on his work the other time at Mainland is kind of ridiculous... So he flew back to HK to visit Karena, and even brought her over to Mainland and to the filming scene or something like that! ._. At first I was okay with Karena, but after reading negative reports about her always making Ray get expensive stuffs for her, I started to dislike her >< (no offense to all Karena fans) I was happy that Ray finally has a girlfriend but was quite disappointed with Karena being his GF.
But since it's our idol's choice to choose who they want to be with, as long as they're happy, we're fine with it and happy for them too! :')

Btw, I think most of you have already know that Karena and Ray will also be in Baby Blues but they are not a couple right~

Anyways, I am going to end this blog post here. Hope you guys enjoyed reading :) Do comment below on how you think we could improve our blog :D Stay tuned for the next post XD

Raymond Lam Tears Up When Holding Infant Actor

In the upcoming horror film Baby Blues 3D <詭嬰>, Raymond Lam (林峯) and rookie actress Janelle Sing (盛君) portray a young couple who are haunted by demonic spirit – the baby, Jimmy.
After giving birth to twins, one a baby boy, one a stillborn, Tin Ching (Janelle Sing) develops postpartum depression and begins to behave oddly. She becomes overly attached to a doll called Jimmy, an old baby doll the couple found abandoned in their new home when they first moved in.
Filming for Baby Blues 3D was quite rigorous for the onscreen couple. In one particularly memorable scene, a delusional Tin Ching runs to the edge of the second story balcony and throws out her newborn son, almost killing him. As the infant actor was only a few months old, Janelle had to practice the scene with a life-sized baby doll before officially filming the sequence. She ran up and down the apartment at least twenty times.
Janelle was so immersed in her practice that she bruised both of her legs. She assured that they were just skin-deep wounds. As Baby Blues 3D’s Tin Ching was Janelle’s first major starring role, she was willing to take the extra sacrifice.
After Tin Ching tosses her son out the window, the baby lands on a blanket that was hung on a clothesline. Her husband Yip Ho (Raymond Lam) immediately saves the baby. When filming that particularly scene, Raymond was in tears and expressed genuine happiness to see the baby safe and sound.
“I’ve spent some time with the baby, so when I was doing the scene, I could easily imagine the baby as my son.”
Baby Blues 3D also stars Kate Tsui (徐子珊) as Ying Nam, a popular singer who hires Yip Ho as her record producer. Irene Wan (溫碧霞) stars as a famous writer who was the previous owner of Tin Ching and Yip Ho’s haunted home.

Baby Blues is out on the 31st October in Hong Kong, China and Malaysia. It will be out on 7th November in Singapore. Ray looks very cute in the picture above playing with the baby! :) He really love babies and I hope he can get his own too. xD I really can't wait for Baby Blues, but I'm from Singapore so i have to wait for a longer time till the movie is released! TVB Will Give Best Actor Award to Moses Chan?

The 2013 TVB Anniversary Awards ceremony will be held on Monday, December 16. Dismissing last year’s one-person-per-vote system, the winners for the three main awards of the night (Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Drama) will be decided by a panel of professional judges. Allegedly, this is one of TVB’s tactics to name Moses Chan (陳豪) as this year’s TV King for his performance in the currently broadcast Will Power <法外風雲>. Since his contract is deemed to expire in the beginning of next year, TVB highly hopes to keep Moses at the company.
Without the public’s ability to choose the Best Actor, popular contenders such as Francis Ng (吳鎮宇), Chilam Cheung (張智霖), and Wayne Lai (黎耀祥), will likely not have a chance. According to reports, TVB will give the award to Moses in exchange for the renewal of his contract. Not wanting to lose yet another siu sang, TVB General Manager, Mark Lee (李寶安), had offered Moses this condition to get him to stay.
TVB management executive, Virginia Lok (樂易玲), confirmed having discussed with Moses about his contract renewal. “Renewing the contract shouldn’t be a problem. Things are well underway at the moment,” Ms. Lok announced. However, according to an insider, Moses took the contract home a long time ago but made no further moves. When asked about the contract, he gave a ton of excuses, saying he was not in Hong Kong or was busy with work. On the other hand, some tabloids reported Moses may have intentions of working with other broadcasting companies.
Unsure of Moses’ future plan, TVB is allegedly in a panic and rage. The insider noted, “Mr. Lee expressed if Moses does end up leaving TVB even after taking home this year’s Best Actor award, they will never collaborate with him again!” When Ms. Lok was reached for comments regarding Moses’ contract renewal in exchange for the award, she expressed, “No, we had the discussion [about the contract] a long time ago. It wasn’t recent!”
In addition, it was reported that Tavia Yeung (楊枱), Ron Ng (吳卓羲), and Raymond Lam (林峯), will not be receiving any main awards of the night since they allegedly have plans to leave TVB and pursue their careers elsewhere.

I feel that it is really unfair to Tavia, Ron and Raymond. Who knows? Maybe they might actually renew their contract! How could TVB be so bias towards them. I was rally furious when I saw this as I thought that Ron did a great job in Triumph in the Skies 2. He should at least deserve some award~ >< I don't really mind Moses winning, but i hope that it would be a fair win. TVB should not give him the award just to get him to renew his contract. They should seriously consider about whose acting is the best and who really deserves to get the award for their hard work. Well, I have watched Will Power and I have to say Moses acting was great but I still think Wayne is better..

Baby Blues 3D is a horror flick, with Raymond, Janelle, Kate & Karena, as the main casts.

This movie is about a young couple (Raymond & Janelle) who moves into a home, and they finds a mysterious doll that changes their lives forever. Not long after, Suet Ching (Janelle) becomes pregnant with twins, but as Yip Tou (Raymond) is always busy with his work, he comes home late every night. The Hippocratic Crush (Review)

File:Oncall36.jpg

I think this show is really awesome! I remember I was quite interested in the show after the first episode!

In this show, the part which I liked most is when Fan Tze Yu (Tavia Yeung) and Cheung Yat Kin (Kenneth Ma) managed to get together in the end, despite the obstacles they met. (e.g. When Tze Yu started to have feelings for Yat Kin, and when she knew Mei-suet (Mandy Wong) liked him too, she gave up and pretended not to like him. ; Also when Tze Yu knew she had a tumour in her spinal cord, all the more she wanted to give up liking Yat Kin because she didn't want to burden him.).

And the part I disliked most is when Cheung Yat Hong (Nathan Ngai) died in the show when he just got together with Kan Ching Ching (Candy Chang) and not long after that, something bad happens to him (he saved an old couple from a falling glass bottle and resulted in him getting hit by that bottle). After Cheung Yat Hong (Nathan Ngai) died, I really wished that Kan Ching Ching could accept Yeung Pui Chung (Him Law) when he confessed to her.
And at the ending, the characters of Kenneth and Tavia, unlike Three Kingdoms RPG, they had a blissful ending in On Call.

My favourite character is Him Law. He portrays a really different character from the other doctors as he is always very messy, lazy, and has a very playful attitude but in fact, he's quite a good doctor and cares a lot for his patients.

I think all of them have portrayed the characters really well, and they managed to bring out the emotions in us.

On a side note, I started to ship Kenta after watching this show! ^~^ They look so cute together! XD

This show is surely one of the best TVB dramas I ever watched. I am really excited for On Call 2 and know what?! It's going to be out on 4th Nov., so do the countdown now! ^~^ And for those who have not watched the first part yet, you can watch it at www.gooddrama.net ! :) There are also many HK dramas uploaded there with english subs. :)

Thats all for our third post  XD Feel free to leave comments on how to improve our blog! :D And stay tuned for the next post! =)
